A 'NO DONATIONS' Fund Raiser for the implementation of a
Dream Project
- The
Dream Project
is designed to alleviate poverty by using sustainable means to create food
security amongst rural villagers.
- Our aim is to develop "model rural villages" in Zimbabwe. These are self
sufficient villages, where all families will enjoy food security and may be
able to generate some income by selling off any excess produce.
- We will initially create a demo
Dream Project
that will be used to showcase the solutions and ideas to village heads prior
to uptake.
- The demo will also allow us to evaluate and improve or adapt any areas
requiring such adaptations.
- We will then work with the villagers and help them convert their current
livelihoods, often dependent on food handouts, to a life where excesses are
possible.
- NB: Other aspects of better rural living, such as access to schools and
healthcare centres, are beyond the scope of the current project.
The Fund Raiser?
- Our fund raiser is being run in
conjunction with Team Zimbabwe: the Dream Project will get
50%
75% of all 2010 net income generated by the Team Zimbabwe
